Community investment in Emerge ensures we can continue to expand our impact and meet the growing needs of families – not only for those in our care, but also for generations to come.
Here is a message from some of our donors about why they give to Emerge…
“Our family has been involved with Emerge for many years. Leslie and my father, Lee Berg, were both previously on the Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Board for several years. We are proud to have been a part of the journey of growth into what is now Emerge – a place where you will see smiling children and dedicated staff working together as a team to provide the brightest futures possible. As both a personal and corporate donor through Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry, the Emerge mission is very important to us. Education is a top priority in our family. Giving young children the best chance at success in school at an early age is vital to their future. Emerge does just this with their multi-disciplinary approach which focuses on the whole child and sets them up for success in school and beyond.”

“Several years ago a dear friend told us about The Emerge Center and I went on a tour. I was so impressed with the love and devotion shown to every child at the center. I heard some amazing success stories of children who came to Emerge not able to communicate and left a few months later talking and socializing in the real world. I have always had a great love for babies and children. We want to do our part to help these children develop and lead normal lives in our community.”

“The Emerge Center is one of our community’s best resources. It continues to set a high standard as it identifies and addresses the needs of families facing communication, behavioral, and development issues. After a tour of the facility, I was able to see how their integrated model of care has attracted great talent who provide outstanding services using evidence-based practices and innovative technologies. The staff at The Emerge Center is very professional and consistently works to think outside of the box while serving hundreds of children every year. I was touched by the devotion to each individual child and family. I am proud to contribute to more than a mission, but to results that have exceeded so many expectations. Knowing the entire team at the Emerge Center is fully committed to taking the time to find the right solution for everyone, makes it easy to support their much-needed work.”

“Autism affects one in 44 children. In September 2012, our son Philip became a number in this statistic. After being turned away by his preschool, Emerge took us in and assured us they would be able to help us and Philip. Philip received countless hours of speech therapy, occupational therapy, and Applied Behavior Analysis over the course of four years at Emerge. He completed their Bloom preschool and Kindergarten program. Today, Philip has successfully finished first grade and will be entering second grade in the fall of 2018. He has earned all A’s and B’s, has made numerous friends and was awarded the Christian Life award for his class! We support Emerge as donors because we have witnessed first hand the importance of early intervention services and the impact it has had on our family.“
