emerge's year-end giving challenge
Thank you for being part of our year-end giving challenge! Below is everything you need to set up and share your page. Creating a page takes less than five minutes!

How to set up your page
Step 1: Create Page
Go HERE and click “Create my own fundraising page.” Enter your first and last name and your email address and click “Create My Page.”
Step 2: Check Email
Check your email. You’ll have received two emails from bmonjure@emergela.org:
(1) Personalize your Crowdfunding page: This email contains a link where you can edit your donation page. You can always go back to this email to use the link to make changes to your page.
(2) Support my fundraising effort: This is an email that you can forward to friends and family to donate to your personal fundraiser.
Step 3: Personalize Page
Go to email (1) Personalize your Crowdfunding page and click “Personalize my page” to set up your page by editing:
- Your name
- Your goal (it will default to our total goal of $40,000)
- Your picture (here are some you can use)
- Your story (a sample is included on the page)
- You have the option to show or hide the names of people who donate through your page. When people give they can choose to hide both their name and donation amount if desired, so we suggest keeping “show supporter list” checked to encourage others to give.
When finished editing your page, click on “Save and Publish.” You can go back to the “personalize your page” email to make changes at any time.
How to SHARE YOUR PAGE
Social Media via Desktop
In your inbox, find the email with the subject line “Support my fundraising effort,” right click on “Donate to my cause” and select copy link address. You can then paste that link into a social media post with whatever messaging and photo you’d like (see below for ideas!).
NOTE: You may see the option to add a Facebook Donate button to your post. Do not select that option.
Social Media via Mobile
On your phone, go to the “Support my fundraising effort” email and click “Donate to my cause.” Once the web page opens, press the share button 
and copy. You can then paste that link into a social media post with whatever messaging and photo you’d like (see below for ideas!).
Text Message
On your phone, go to the “Support my fundraising effort” email and click “Donate to my cause.” Once the page opens, press the share button and text to whomever you’d like (see below for suggested messaging!).
In your inbox, find the email with the subject line “Support my fundraising effort.” You can forward this email to your family/friends/colleagues! Delete the “forward this email” message at the top before sending.

Timeline
November 16: Announce your fundraiser to friends, family and colleagues.
December 1: Today is Giving Tuesday! This is an easy opportunity to reminder your people to give on this national day of giving.
December 15: Post a “15 days left” reminder on your social media accounts (or via text/email).
December 31: Post a “last chance” reminder on your social media accounts (or via text/email).
Sample Messaging
Announcement post: Hi friends and family! I am hosting a year-end fundraiser for Emerge, a nonprofit that provides therapy and education to children with autism and other communication challenges. Emerge provides broad access to services for all, regardless of ability to pay.
I’ve chosen to support Emerge this holiday season because [why you’re advocating for Emerge]. Donate and share this post to help me reach my goal of [your $ goal] by the end of the year! Donate at [insert the link to your personal fundraising page].
Reminder post: Hey everyone! My fundraiser for Emerge has raised [$] so far! Although our world has changed, Emerge’s services continue to be needed by families in our community. No gift is too small – every dollar helps Emerge provide life-changing therapy to more children! If you’re able, you can donate at [insert the link to your personal fundraising page].
Reminder post: There are [days] left to support my fundraiser for Emerge! Every gift counts and I’m only [$] away from my goal! You can donate at [insert the link to your personal fundraising page].

Your Page
Your personal goal is totally up to you! We have an overall goal of $40,000. If you’re not sure what to put, we suggest setting a goal between $250-$500.

This portion of the page is to tell your friends and family why you’re choosing to fundraise for Emerge.
That part of the form is not editable, so all pages will show the title “Emerge’s Year End Fundraising Campaign.”

Simply visit your fundraising page! You will be able to see actual vs. goal as well as a list of donors and their donation amounts (if not given anonymously).
Donors/Donations
You can drop off or mail all cash or check donations to Madison Douglass at Emerge (7784 Innovation Park Drive, BR, 70820). Those donations will be added to your campaign and reflected on your fundraising page. Please be sure to also provide the donors name and either their email, mailing address, or phone number so that we can provide them with an acknowledgement for their tax purposes.
No, all gifts must be made directly to Emerge through your page.
Donors can give anonymously and hide both their name and donation amount when giving online if desired.
All donors will receive an email confirmation of their donation and a mailed letter from The Foundation Team for their tax purposes. Feel free to thank your friends and family as they give! At the end of the campaign, we are happy to provide you with a list of everyone who donated through your page and their amounts.
