2021 Baton Rouge Area Volunteer Activists

We have hosted the Baton Rouge Area Volunteer Activists awards annually since 1971. Each year, this awards luncheon honors a class of individuals who give of their time and talents to organizations across our community, above and beyond volunteer requirements, for the betterment of the Greater Baton Rouge area.

In addition to recognizing this year’s Volunteer Activists, Emerge will present the Margaret Neely Award to Stephen and Colleen Waguespack. This award is named in honor of Margaret Neely, the long-standing Executive Director of Baton Rouge Speech and Hearing Foundation (now known as Emerge) and celebrates individuals who have served Emerge’s mission as volunteer leaders.
